A field trip was taken by a group of Autistic children to The Schafer Farm. They learned the correct way to mount a horse, about grooming and care of the horse, and the importance of safety equipment. The kids all had a great day there!

Here are a few comments from children or parents of children that attended the 2007 Autistic camp:

"Thank you for helping them to get the money to do this. I had a lot of fun. I was always interested in animals like horses. I learned some new things about horses this year." Mark

" I had a fun time learning about the horses and riding them" Megan

"I liked the others, the horses and the water balloon fights. This was a very good camp. I had a good time." Jamie

"Shawn was able to sit on a horse - Mac - and ride all the way around the arena. This was HUGE progress from last year! Thanks so much!" Shawn's Mother

"Matthew was here thanks to the sponsers that made it possible. He enjoys the horses and it is very calm and relaxing. The joy of this program to him is a special treat. Matthew also has a favorite horse, Mac. Hopefully, there will be funding for years to come for these very special kids." Matthew's Mother
